Kuḍya is a contemporary jewelry design studio driven by a curiosity for all forms of art and beauty. The brand aims to create unique and enduring pieces to be cherished and enjoyed. Derived from the Sanskrit word for curiosity, Kuḍya embodies an ever-wandering spirit in a boundless search for inspiration. Kuḍya celebrates the understated glory of brass, a golden-toned metal that is durable, malleable, corrosion-resistant, and recyclable, offering the allure of gold without the hefty price tag. Over time, brass forms an antique patina, turning its bright gold luster into beautifully subdued warm gold tones. However, its bright luster can be easily revived with occasional polishing. For these reasons, Kuḍya designs primarily use brass, allowing the brand to sustainably create bold yet affordable, enduring pieces that can last generations. Kuḍya was founded by architect Gayathri Lindagedara as a creative outlet to experiment with material and art to adorn the body. With an emphasis on design, the goal is to create bold and unique accessories that are enduring and accessible to all.
