Seaman Schepps

Founded in 1904, American jeweller is famous for his Retro and 1950s jewellery style. During the next 20 years, Schepps’s work enjoyed great success—as well as ample press. He is renowned for his chunky creations including huge retro gem-studded bangles – noteworthy for the haphazard placement of gemstones and eclectic colour combinations. Schepps favoured irregularly cut, carved gemstones that are softly coloured such as light Blue Sapphires and Emeralds, hazy Yellow Topazes and Citrine and Pale Pink Quartz. Hard gemstones like Jade, Turquoise and Lapis were also incorporated into his creations.
